I bought the Devdas CD today, and it doesn't come in a regular jewel case. Instead, it comes in an ultra thin CD case, and instead of an insert in the back that lists all the songs and copyright information, the back part of the case is clear, and the CD, with songs printed on it, is facing the back. It seems less sturdy than regular jewel cases since it is so thin. I do not think I have a pirate, since the inner rim of the CD says "www.krcd.com kr4919." It says on the CD and cover insert that it was manufactured by Koch Rajes CD industries. Did anyone else get a CD case like this?

mine came the same way. It's called cutting costs. With the audio companies cutting prices to fight piracy, they have to save money somewhere. And for the record, the pirated CDs sound like crap.

I did pay only $6.99 US, so I guess that's why.

On the bright side, maybe this packaging won't crack as easily as conventional jewel cases. I dropped mine on asphalt and -- gasp! -- it was whole when I picked it up!

Same here man...apparently as per my retailer newer CDs will be coming like this now. I hate these CD covers with a passion!

When you in your car and you keep the CDs in a side panel, you expect to read the CD spines to see what you want with ease, but with these CD covers it impossible!!! I really hated it when these covers released. Even for CDRs they are coming like this now. :ffs: :ffs: :ffs:
