Hi everyone.. I would like to buy the DVD, and I was wondering does anyone here have the DVD or have they seen it? Cos I'd like to know how good the quality (image & sound) is and if the songs have subtitles cos I have the movie on a tape (it was released AGES ago) and it does have subtitles in the songs, and I would like to own the DVD..

EVP released an excellent Abhimaan DVD. It was Progressive. Later, some batches of Abhimaan were not Progressive.

I don't know if EVP Progressive version is avail any more. It may very well be that Sky acquired rights to Abhimaan from EVP and may be, Sky version is an exact code transfer of EVP authoring??

BTW, one of our zulm members got hold of a few Progressive copies of Abhimaan almost one year back. Some copies went un-claimed for long time and eventually I picked them up, but they are gone now.

i have a GREAT copy of this movie...thanks to DragunR2. maybe he still has a few extras??

i havent yet watched the movie........waiting for my new tv, whevever it is i get it. LOL. hopefully the disc is still working

Nope, all I have left is my own copy, which I'm keeping! I go to the store every few weeks to check, but I haven't found multiple $10 copies of EVP prog titles in a long time. One store where I found 1 copy of Aradhana sells only pirate maal like 2-in-1s and replicated CDs these days

EVP Abhimaan, even interlaced, would be the best bet, but it might be pressed by Media Dimensions...

how is the movie? I saw a copy of EVP version at a store a while ago, but I haven't seen the movie, so didn't get it.

That's sad but true. Even I found a few Progressive titles in clearance/ Pirate bins as their current versions are not Progressive any more.

Out of interest and to bring closure to this thread ... did anyone ever see the Sky release of Abhimaan? I know that the original EVP progressive release is the best one to go for - but it doesn't have subtitles and my original EVP copy is no longer working so I'd like to get another copy.

By the way - my original Aradhana EVP DVD was playing up - but I backed it up and the back up is working just fine.

isn't an ULTRA dvd out there too...? and perhaps moserbaer as well?

Thanks - but neither of these threads mention the Sky DVD - which is what I am referring to in my question.

Ultra or Moser Baer do not interest me as they are generally inferior in terms of quality. If the Sky version is EVP replicated then this would currently be the best version to go for - why bother with Ultra or Moser Baer if there is a better version out there?

So just to go back to my question ... anyone have or have seen the Sky version?
