SHEMAROO has become a pirate name that anbody uses for any illegal DVD. These flood of pirate Shemaroo DVDs do include some of the real Indian Shemaroo DVDs or their replicas. There are only 29 SHEMAROO DVDs in India of which about half of them are being replicated and sold in North America, with or without the permission from Shemaroo India. The rest are just using the name Shemaroo. No one can prevent you from using the name Shemaroo in North America. Shemaroo name is registered in India only.

This Mujra-Qwali title is not even in Indian Shemaroo catalog. Who knows what will we get. Any Volunteers (Bakras)??

BTW! RANA!! I knew people claimed SLB did do NIMBODA from HDDCS as AISH's MUJRA! but what was AISH's Mujra! in Ghaii's TAAL? :baaa: :laugh:

Isn't there a Qwali/ Mujra type song in Taal when Akshay leaves his party and goes after where Aish is. I think the song is Ishq ----?? In this sequence Aish may not be a Qawali participant, but Aish and Akshay both are in the background.

There are also a few pirated Shemaroo song DVDs with HMV's "Revival" logo on them. They crammed something like 50 songs onto one disc.

I bought one of the HMV revival discs. The quality was really good - although I am only viewing this on a 32" wide-screen TV.

Borrowed this Shemaroo Qawali & Mujra DVD.

Its out and out Pirate, fake, whatever you call it.

Shemaroo address is not the official Shemaroo address.

PQ is no where close to the worst of Shemaroo DVDs.

This DVD and many other fake Shemaroo DVDs are just fakes, where someone copies a # of clips from wherever and put Shemaroo name to fool the customer.

Are the songs in good quality?

I have over 50 albums of the Revival series by Saregma-HMV-RPG.
Never heard of a DVD by them.

'Sa Re Ga Ma'/ RPG / HMV have released some excellent DVDs. A R Rahman Concert DVD (a zulm thread exists) is excellent.

Do you have any of the Revival DVDs (or ACDs)??

They are brilliant! The songs have got wonderful treatment, but some think that it is just heavy soundtracks they've added.

Old songs from 1943 to 1982 have been revived and released under 66 albums called 'Classics' Revival'

The MM CD is somewhat similar to this series.

I think it would've been great if Class. Rev. would have done the audio for DEi...

The sound may have been crystal clear!

^^ As you can see this a 10 year old topic when companies sold pirates under the name of Shemaroo. So the ones they are talking about was a pirate. The ones you have came out last year and are legit versions.
