The price range is from 40K to 600K (I think it's US$).
Is it worth spending for the hobby?

if you've got the money...it's worth it. a couple of my relatives have dedicated custom made home theater rooms. I hate them :lol: especially since they live so far away. the sound acoustics is just unbelievable. much better than most public theaters

The price-performance ratio of the projectors/displays gets better every year. For 5000$ you can get practically cinema quality pictures at home (for example Sony Pearl plus HD player, Mitsubishi 1080p LCD).

I think about 580k went for all the custom construction :? :lol:


btw, Optoma introduced a 720p set at just under $1k :shock:
