I read on Digital Bits that George Lucas might be releasing Star Wars 4,5, & 6 at the end of 2004!!!

The Star Wars movies are the "holy grail" of DVDs. As much as I want to see these movies released, I rather have Lucas focus his energy on making Episode 3 an entertaining movie. If this is to be the last Star Wars movie, then I would like to see the franchise go out in style. THEN he can focus on releasing the original trilogy.

Digital Bits

out!!!!!!

These DVDs will be the Special Editions, not the original trilogy. Han is supposed to shoot first!

After the Special Edition boxset, the Star Wars movies have seen a Limited Edition release in Sep 2006 (with DVDs containing both the original theatrical versions as well as the digitally enhanced Special Editions)

Here are reviews -- and yes -- you can now see Han shoot first ;-)

The original editions are presented in non-anamorphic letterbox.

Given that the original versions are non-anamorphic widescreen, it may be advisable to go for PAL.
