just got this articlle from radiosargam... kajol starring opposite vivek oberoi in a notting hill kinda romance... can anyone confirm if this news is true???? somehow i cannot imagine them two as a pair...

Kajol to star opposite Vivek Oberoi
We here at Radio Sargam can exclusively reveal that Kajol has indeed signed to star in Zoya Akhtar's debut film.

Zoya, who is the sister of Dil Chahta Hai director Farhan Akhtar and daughter of famed lyricist Javed Akhtar, has not only roped in Kajol, but also new sensation Vivek Oberoi. The film will be an all out comedy romance, having similarities with Hugh Grant-Julia Roberts 'Notting Hill'.

This will be the first time fans of Kajol will see her on screen, after her award winning performance in Karan Johar's Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Ghum, and amid rumors that she has quit the Bollywood stage.

Direct from the 'horse's mouth', Vivek revealed the news to thousands of stunned listeners of the BBC's 'Filmi Duniya' radio show yesterday, hosted by Rajni Sharma. He said he was absolutely delighted to be paired opposite such a great actress as Kajol, and is eagerly looking forward to the start of the shooting for the film, which is expected to begin around June.

He also made clear that he would not be appearing in Karan Johar's next venture. The Nikhal Advani directed film was to have featured him, Hrithik Roshan, and Shah Rukh Khan, in an all action thriller. However, due to Shah Rukh's health problems, the story of the film has completely been changed, which means the film is now going to be a romantic triangle instead. Something that Karan and Nikhal thought Vivek was not suited for, that is why they have roped in Saif Ali Khan as the second lead.

Vivek is receiving rave reviews and accolades for his 'Chandu Bhai' role in Ram Gopal Verma's recently released gangster epic 'Company'. Director, and father of Hrithik Roshan, Rakesh Roshan titled Vivek as the 'Most Promising Newcomer', to come out of the Indian film industry since the past 2 years. Actress Rekha personally phoned Vivek up and congratulated him on what she says is an 'electrifying' performance.

Vivek finished off the interview with, what will soon become a trademark dialogue, 'Malik, tu aur teri Company khalaas!"
