The reason why it says 'Shemaroo Films' is because the film is produced by Shemaroo Films. I was actually rather surprised that Eros got the overseas rights to the DVD. By the way Eros also holds the worldwide music rights to Omkaara.

This might be a stupid question, but I really need to know. Does what you claim ultimately rule out a Shemaroo(R2/R0)DVD of Omkara altoghter? Are we left to reducing ourselves to purchasing a pirated DVD of Omkara if Eros is our only legit option?

I find it a interesting that even the VCD of 'Omkara' has English (and perhaps Hindi) subtitles. This could be a 'first' for Hindi VCDs; correct me if I'm wrong.

I've just watched the Eros DVD, and I'm really disappointed by the horrible subtitles (in English) and the horrible, horrible menus. Is this the kind of release good movies should get?? What kind of mindless ****** work at Eros?!?!?!

I just hope the Shemaroo version is better. When will anyone provide screenshots!?!?

Thanks for the info.

I must apologize to Ali, since it is now that I realize that his previous post about the Shemaroo DVD features is true going by the current given info.

I am sure there's something wrong with the way I am taking shots or it's something to do with the laptop I am using... all the shots I've taken - Darna Zaroori, Corporate, Omkara, Agneepath -- have come out without sharpness.

I have used these settings on PowerDVD 5.0 on the Dell Laptop:
- Capture current video size
- Keep aspect ratio
- Video: Use original color profile
- Video de-interlace: Auto-Select

The laptop is set to 32 Bit color display...

Are these settings ok?
