Do you think deleted scenes should be on every dvd as a regular special feature?

i was watching a new show today on sahara one that shows deleted scenes of movies, it showed 20min of scenes that were deleted from chalte chalte, including one that they said the censor board objected to which was before the scene where srk opens the towel infront of rani, the scene was just that srk towel was lower then usual just about covering the privates, each week they said they will show deleted scenes from different movies that dont appear on DVDs, my question is that why dont companies put them on their special features or if they already have them why dont they put all of them, do they have to pay more for the rights to get deleted scenes? plus the sound and picture quality was better then the movie itself on DVD, also most of the scenes they showed for chalte chalte should have been in the movie it gives a better understanding on some rushed points in the movie such as srk and rani wedding

While I think that the inclusion of "deleted scenes" is sometimes nice on a DVD, often, I find it unnecessary. Just about every movie has "deleted scenes"; these may be scenes that make the movie run too long, ones that would have required the film to get a higher "rating" ("certificate" [fewer persons can see it]), or (most often) ones that it was felt just don't work. As far as special features on DVDs are concerned, I'd like to see most include some sort of "cast/crew interview" segment; "making-ofs" can often be informative and interesting; and I don't even mind the inclusion of a few "theatrical trailers" (though I almost never care whether they're present or aren't). Above all, "feature-length" commentary tracks can often be entertaining and informative, and can add much "re-play value" to a DVD purchase; as such, I feel it'd be nice to have them on DVDs. As for the "deleted scenes," often, they such, or serve absolutely no purpose; hell, more often than not, they're not in any way "mastered," and look and sound like shit. Honestly, I'd found myself loking at them only out of a sense of obligation to get "everything" out of the disc; sometimes, the "gag reels" are more "worth-while" than the "deleted scenes."
