The Laurent Bouzereau documentary on the LD and first DVD will not be included, apparently. It seems the original Scarface will only be available in this set. I'm sure rappers everywhere are drooling :)

Aatishbaaz - the shatrughan sinha starrer was a bigtime copy of this movie. What a piece of crap..

Anyways, I NEED this boxset. One of Al Pacino's greatest performances, the movie is certainly a banner for 80s decadence....MacBeth in Miami.

I thought Agneepath was a decent "inspired" movie from Scarface. It wasn't a frame to frame copy, Amitabh's character had a background that was different and he DIDN'T overact. In fact I would rate Agneepath as one of Amitabh's best performances period. Scarface was good but Agneepath held its own in the hindi film industry and was brilliant too. Of course both the DVD's of Agneepath (Eros and WEG) are shite :( but that shouldn't take away from Bachchan's powerhouse performance.

So the news about some rapper remixing the sound track was just a rumor, Thank God! :) Giorgio Moroder's score was kick ass, especially opening title sequence.

I have the collectors edition and the insert ( which confuses me ) said "Scarface"chapters - side one, and proceeds to list the chapters 1 through 35 Then alongside it it says "The making of Scarface" Chapters - side two, and again lists the chapters 1 through 17. However, this is the kicker, the actual disc is single sided, dual layered. So what happened to side two and it's contents? :D It does not show up on the disc.

I bought from deepdiscountdvd.com -- the gift set is fantastic! The best item is the money-clip (which you can use to "bind" together your currency notes) embossed with "TM" -- Tony Montana -- Al Pacino's character.

By the way, Aditya Pancholi's SAATHI was also based on Scarface. I have never heard of Shatrughan's Aatishbaaz... is it available on DVD?
