Alright, Im going nuts here - I have got to find all of Mani Ratnam's movies on DVD. Can we please start a page of what DVDs of his are available and list the important specs of that DVD? Preferably, the best quality DVDs (anamorphic, DD 5.1 Tamil/Hindi, English subtitles, DVD company). I'll fill in the information that I know and it would be cool if other people filled in the rest of the information and if that DVD version still exists:

Yuva:
anamorphic, Hindi 5.1, English subtitles

Kannathil Muthamittal:
anamorphic, Tamil 5.1, English subtitles, Ayngaran

Uyire (Dil Se):
anamorphic, Tamil Dubbed 5.1, English subtitles, Ayngaran

Bombay:
anamorphic, Tamil/Hindi 5.1, English subtitles, Ayngaran

Nayagan:
full screen, Tamil mono, English subtitles, Pyramid

QUESTIONABLE MANI RATNAM DVDs:

Roja:
anamorphic, Hindi Mono, English subtitles, DEI
CAN THIS DEI DVD STILL BE BOUGHT ANYWHERE?????????

Iruvar:
there are two DVD versions - which is the better version (please include DVD specs) ??????

Gharshana (Agni Nakshatram):
there are two versions listed at DVDunlimitedonline.com - which is better (Please include DVD specs) ?????????

Alai Payuthey:
??????

Thalapathi:
??????

Gitanjali:
??????

Mouna Ragam:
??????

Note to DVDUNLIMITED:
I know your store has most of these DVDs listed above, can you find out the specs of the questionable DVDs I was wondering about?

you can add to your list, Mani Rantam's Telugu film: Geethanjali. DVD by "KAD" has both Telugu and Tamil tracks. English subtitles. Best dvd you will ever find of this movie. Letterboxed, Pseudo-5.1

Gharshana/Agni...I have both these dvd's. either one is fine, because they both are of mediocre quality. Full Screen(?)

Roja, why would you want to watch a dubbed film if you don't understand the dubbed language anyway? Get the Tamil DVD.

Get DEI Dil Se. GOOD LUCK finding an original DEI disc of Dil Se!! You will need more than luck. letterboxed, excellent dd5.1. progressive with a lot of motion blur, soft picture. but best released.

Alai Payuthey, Ayngaran - DD5.1, sharp picture, interlaced. dull colors imho, but excellent overall.

Ayngaran's Bombay also has Tamil and Telugu tracks.

Pyramid's Iruvar is 1.33:1 original aspect ratio with 5.1 sound. I don't have a 5.1 system so I don't know if it is true 5.1, but I remember hearing a stereo effect. There is also an AP International version that DVDUnlimited has.

Pyramid Iruvar shots

Roja from Ayngaran is probably anamorphic widescreen, though I read here it was a PAL to NTSC conversion. Pyramid's DVD is 1.33:1 pan-and-scan. Anything from Pyramid will be mediocre.
