Hi, The first time I watched the modern version of Devdas (I cannot remember which version) that is going back to 2002. I noticed that it was rather different to the version that EROS released in the shops later that year.
I feel the sound quality etc was a lot better, than the awful EROS version that was later released.
What was also interesting was that it was more graceful and melodramatic. In particular in one of the most romantic scenes of the movie where 'Shah Rukh Khan; comes to see Aishwarya on a moon lit night where Ash is pretending to be asleep at the beginning of the movie -In this particular version of Devdas that beautiful song 'Chand jaise larki' comes on when Shah rukh revels in Ash's beauty. This is not the case in the EROS version where instead some boring music plays. Also the scene where paro & chandramukhi first meet is further emphasized by melodramtic music playing in the background - this does not happen in the EROS version where all you hear is some eerie music .
Does anyone know where I can get this version if anyone knows of it.
thankyou
