I watched half of the movie yesterday (the other half is not recorded in the DVD!!!! Hey!!!!). It is a fantastic movie, atleast upto the half DVD I watched.

It is not any big different than Thirupachi or typical tamil movies these days. Hero-Heroine-Villian-Blood-Fight-Song, but in this movie, performances of artists, speically Prakashraj, are close to real and the screen play makes the movie more believable than heroism based movies. I like Prakashraj a lot, but here is another dimension. I am not surprised by his performance, since he is from the same university where Kamal and Rajni studied, I mean Balachandar (Vivek too!)

I really with we have the other semi-circle from VGP, but then you know these people should never get it right at the first place, because the print quality is also bad (less or equal to Pyramid).

I am crossing my finger and dyeing my hair for Ayngaran DVD to come. It is a must watch movie.

IDREAM FOLKS! HELP! ANY PLANS TO MAKE TAMIL DVDs!!!

VGP's VHS tapes of Tamil films were actually pretty good. I guess they don't carry that over to DVD.

The songs of this film are pretty good.

Vivek got his start with Balachander? In what film?

Yes he is a Balachander "find" - Puthu Puthu Arthangal or Manathil Uruthi Vendum (not sure ) . Everytime you see his interview on TV he seems to pay homage to his "guru" balachander

BTW - Songs are nice in AA, probably my fav among the current releases

Its MUV. BTW ONOK (oru naal oru...) songs are good. When Veer Zaara was released I used to think why Tamil songs doesnt have this kinda vintage tunes again. Here you go. Excellent melody from IR. One review says that the movie name shold be "Kaatrinil varum geetham" because this song would take you for a melod(y)rive.

Couple of other songs are also good. After MX I think Sonu Nigam is the choice for IR!!!

Some how i managed to watch entire movie (need to skip/FF, switch off and on .... probably took 4 hours to complete this 2 hour movie!). I would rate this movie above any of the recent releases, specially MKSM, which also is supposed to show the Father-Son relationship.

Prakashraj is as gem as he could be. Hats off to the entire unit.

FYI, Ayngaran is NOT going to release this DVD, so you are better of watching this in a pirated VHS than the original DVD.

VGP has Gajini on their site. Does this mean they're going to release the DVD of that film also?

MKSM was okay. Prakash Raj was good, but the story gets pretty hokey towards the end.

Yes Ghajni movie in USA and DVD as well will be released by VGP. If they dont get it right in Ghajni, I am going to stop buying this brand. 100% of the copies we received didnt run after 9th chapter and no scratches and recorded in gold media as well. Also the movie is extremely dark in this DVD.

It could be a pirate with the Ayngaran logo on it. I've seen those before.
