Hi
thought a topic on Indian films on Dvd available in different countries in Europe may be of interest to some.
Those who have such info could update the post with it.

I have seen the following in France:

- Salaam Bombay (2 Disc Digipack Edition): Languages: Hindi DD2.0, Subtitles: French. Bonus: Quite a few on disc 2

- Fire: (haven't checked features but will update)

- The Warrior:(British/Indian film) (features to be updated)

- Monsson Wedding:

- Lagaan: (2 Disc Digipack Edition):(Film split on 2 discs) Languages: Hindi & French DD5.1, Subtitles: French. Bonus: deleted scene on disc 2

- Misiion Kashmir: Lang: Hin + Fr + Eng DD5.1, Sub: Fr + other

Please update with yours and correct if the info seems incorrect.

I'm afraid there's no more Indian films on European DVD than those mentioned before. Except this last one :

- Kama Sutra

I hope there is no parallel thread existing to this one, so I can put the following updates safely here:

UK:
The Bfi released the two Ghatak-classics "A Cloud-capped star" and "A River called Titas".

Germany:
K3G was released twice already on DVD in Germany.
Once with German subtitles as "Sometimes Happy, sometimes sad" (bad picture quality) and just recently with a German dub called "In guten wie in schweren Tagen" with improved picture quality although it is still transcoded from NTSC into PAL with the known problems there.

BTW, this German dub of K3G was shown on one of the private TV-channels in Germany in a shortened version (close to 180 minutes, the DVD features the complete cut) - and was a huge success! This success will open the door to more Bollywood films this year: Dil Se will be released on DVD in Febuary (subtitled) and this German TV channel will air dubbed versions of KHNH (titled: "Indian Love Story", subsequent DVD release of the dubbed version will follow) and MHN.
KKHH is rumoured, but not confirmed yet.

France:
Was mentioned in another thread already: K3G and Mother India were released in France on DVD.
