Hello everyone! I'm new to this board and haven't seen many Indian films. Other than Company and Devdas, the only Indian films I've seen have been shown on US tv. And that leads to my question. Does anyone here know the name of an Indian film that was shot using psychedelic colors and post modern imagery? It was shown on the Sundance channel last year. If i'm not mistaken I think the film had some religious undertones. I beleive the director is pretty well known but I can't think of his name at the moment. I wish I had a better description but I was only able to watch a few minutes of the film. If anyone can assist me in finding the name of this film, I would be highly appreciative.

Hey....thanks Ali! Now I do remember seeing Agni Varsha on television, but I'm not sure if it is the same film that I had in mind. Do you know if this film is divided into chapters? Also I think the beginning of the film took place in modern times and they were doing these really slow, not neccessarily traditional, dances.

Thankyou DVDISOIL! I'm 99% positive that Gaja Gamini is the film I saw on Sundance. I was unable to confirm this due to the lack of screenshots available online. Nevertheless, the story seems to match so I guess I'll buy the DVD and find out for sure.

Thanks for everyone's help! You guys are holy!
