I'm really new to Indian DVD and Bollywood in general. I'm interested in picking up one or two of the DVDs that have a collection of hit songs from Indian films. I don't know where to start, so I was hoping to get some recommendations. I'm interested in something with both high song quality as well as decent video and audio. If it makes any difference I need something that is NTSC/Region1 or free. If possible, I'd like to pick up one disk with recent songs and another with something from the 60's or 70's.
Any advice is appreciated!

The following DVDs satisfy your criteria :-

1.) Oldies - Down Memory Lane - by DEI ( 2 Disc version)

2.) New stuff - Mission Bollywood again by DEI

You my also wish to do a search in all the forums where there were some older song DVds authored by DEI also but released under the DEI-EROS label ( which is now defunct)

another great disc, even though the video isnt spectacular is the dual side A Tribute To Mohamad Rafi Century Series by Eros/B4U.. it has some of the greatest songs on it from yesteryear.. i would recommend this DVD!!

I'm not sure if anyone here can help, but I want to try to find some song compilations from other nations/cultures as well. Are there disks like this available with Chinese, Japanese, Arabic or any other nation's pop music on it? If so, are there any disks you recommend or stores that I can browse through? Thanks for all the help!
