http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/list.php ... VD%20Video

i've quickly glanced through some of the reviews at dvdtalk.com and the ratings vary widely. on one of the discs, they burnt in subtitles.

I just sent out a "Request-for-review" to Gary of DVDBeaver , he emailed me saying they will "look" into it.

From what i know First Run Features are a bad DVD authoring company, but who knows - lets hope the world's first Adoor dvd is at the very least tube-friendly !

This release brings back vague memories of a "sale right" of Nizhalkuthu couple of years back

US film circle buys Adoor's Nizhalkuthu

BTW - what is the translation for Nizhalkuthu - is it Shadow Kill or Dance of the Shadows ?? , any help from our mallu friends is appreciated

Info on the Golbal Film Initiative
http://www.globalfilm.org/index.html

GFI films on DVD
http://firstrunfeatures.com/gfi_films.html

So now is our DU-ji going to carry this film ?? , better sale #'s for this film might help get more Adoor's films on DVD ( perhaps we can even get decent DVDs from other artist from india - Mrinal Sen ?? ).

So here is another one of my "stupid" request to all serious cinema-buffs : please buy or atleast rent this one
