I have the YashhRajFilms DVD of silsila and it is in 4:3. Was the original shot in 35 mm? If not, any rumours about an anamorphic version?

Silsila could very well have been shot on 35mm, but its been shot at 4:3 aspect ratio regardless which has been preserved on the DVD.

The film was indeed shot in 35mm, but just a tiny bit bigger then the 1.33:1 ratio so when shown on regular tv ratio not much cropping is seen.
