I've rented the dvd to see the movie. I'll tell you later on tonight exactly how it looks.

Contrary to what DEI web says  - Raaz DVD is in it’s full aspect ratio of 2.25:1, non-anamorphic video - authored by Media Dimensions. Sound unknown as yet – maybe when Arsh has seen he’ll comment. Subtitle are unfriendly 16x9 and show typically botch authoring job.

Check the screen shots – with a massive thanks to Arsh for providing these.

Was browsing through the BBFC site when came across Raaz entry for video release - says by Sovereign Sirocco Limited who distributed the film in the UK. Could possibly see a different DVD release, although more likely it'll be just a re-packaged Tips DVD ???

Doubt it'll be a new DVD - Sovereign Sirocco is the UK distributors for all Tips stuff, as far as I know.

While searching for Raaz MP3 with morpehus I found to my amazment a full VOB file of the pirate version. I downloaded only five mins of it to my partial file then played it. It was not bad. Shame the film looks crap (well it is copied from its equally horrible counterpart What Lies Beneath). Why doesn't bollywood copy from films like Geroge Washington? Rushmore? Or even Memento?

I have been informed that Malaylam cinema has its own version of Vanilla Sky coming soon, while Telugu is remaking the excellent Payback. Remakes should come from good movies. But I might be wrong as Raaz has been decleared a hit.

Also is it me or does the picture from the orignal raaz DVD looked slightly squashed? :p

George Washington is the antithesis of Bollywood films. There's not much excitement in it and it is somewhat slow. I found it rather dull, though it was beautifully shot.

Remakes of Memento and Rushmore would be awesome.
