Whether you liked just the first one or the whole pack, The Matrix is undoubtedly one of the most ground breaking films that will be remembered and highlyr regarded for many years to come. Member Orangesoul noticed this information about the DVD release of the trilogy at Australian DVD store Ezydvd.com.au. The Set features 9 DVD's, the 3 movies, and the 'animatrix'. Special features include

* Extended version of Reloaded – 1 hour of additional footage
* All new documentaries
* All new commentaries
* All new HD film transfers
* Amazing amounts of new content
* Matrix (3 discs), Reloaded (3 discs), Revolutions (2 discs), Animatrix
* 9 hrs of previously unseen footage
* Lots more!

Although no price has been announced, one might guess that it will be around the £60 level / $80, if not more. Although there is no announced release date yet either, speculation is towards a release in the fall of 2004 (pre-christmas).

First one was cool as hell. Second one had some moments. Third one outright sucked only with good special effects. Same effect that Van Helsing had on me: NO SUBSTANCE !!!

I really do prefer good malayalam movies more and more. They have better storylines and direction that are made for a fraction of the cost of these films.

Pillairaj, Did you watched the recent malayalam hit 4THE PEOPLE? Its a really entertaining and fun movie. It had great songs and action but unfortunately a very thin story line. Technically it had the best crew working for it. Like Rajeskhar and Anthony, the cinematographer and editor of KAAKA KAAKA. And also the DTS track brings a lot of energy to the songs. It sucks that we're gonna have to wait 4 or 5 years till it comes out on a decent dvd.

I also enjoyed NANDANAM.

I liked the first Matrix and thought the 2nd was ok, up until that totally confusing part wit that Col. Sanders chicken-guy talkin to Neo :lol: I know... I'm s'posed to be like one of those super-philosophical thoughtful types who can "get it" in one viewing, but c'mon, try to make SOME sense. That was rule #1 on how to lose the mainstream audience and they broke it right there :roll:

I got dragged to the 3rd one by my cousin brothers and was so fed up wit it that I felt like running out halfway thru... specially cuz they totally underused my fave character, Morpheus! :evil:
