 It's a minor complexity problem certain individuals on here have a hard time understanding

Good effort and welcome back sknath.

With my tiny brain, I guess it's more difficult to figure out if I vote under 'No' or under 'Yes', than converting the DVD to Progressive, if I like Progressive screen cap.

Is the Poll question clear to all?? I'll hold off my vote till this clarification.

Thanks.

Rana

Welcome Back!, but that was like two centuries ago! No sooner that you're back the controversy and confusion starts, trademark of your modus operandi :P  Some people mellow with age and then again some get more fiesty!

Both sets were grabbed on FORCEWEAVE, using same COLOR CORRECTION for consistency!

GUys..thanks for the stuff... All credit to Arsh for those shots..
JB... you can say I am incorrigible :)

Just to let you know folks that progressive versions of the following DVDs are available :-

1.) Mughal-e-Azam (Shemaroo)
2.) Amanush (EVP)
3.) Tere Mere Sapne (Shemaroo)
4.) Michal Madana Kama Rajan (EVP - HNM enterproses)
5.) Shiva (EVP - telugu)
6.) Hello Brother (EVP - telugu)
7.) Any recent EROS dvd's that were released after Humraaz

Can someone tell us if MunnaBhai - MBBS is pseudo-progressive or Field-averaged ?

Theon..the question means :-
" Are you convinced by these shots that progressive encoding is necessary for good dvd's ? Do you still believe that "good colors" - but interlaced dvds can be passed on as "DVDs" :o ? "

Dragun.. Maybe the following screenshots will explain to you what I'm talking abt :D 'mate ;)

The following screenshots are from Tum Bin (VideoSound). This dvd has the following problems :-
1.) Non-anamorphic video presented as anamorphic vide, giving you a horrble squishing effect
2.) Combing artifacts (as usual)
3.) Poor colors

The "progressive" version of the dvd is presented in the correct aspect ratio (non-anamorphic).

As usual Mods.. Pls transfer the images to the zulm server !
DONE! - UL
