It's a known fact that Lucky Ali was to head the cast as well as compose the music of Dev Anand's LOVE AT TIMES SQUARE. But due to date problems, Lucky decided to opt out of the project. However, Dev Anand maintained that Lucky would score the music for the film and also feature in one of the songs.

Following the trend of multiple music directors in a project, Dev Anand has decided to hire the services of several music composers for his film. According to Naidu, his associate, “Lucky has recorded three songs, which will be retained. But he will not feature in any of the songs. We have already signed Aadesh for two songs and Adnan Sami and Rajesh Roshan to do one song each, as Lucky is tied up with other commitments. It was a mutual decision.”

Aadesh, who had sworn never do a project that already has someone else scoring the music, accepted LOVE AT TIMES SQUARE out of respect for Dev-saab. “I am part of the project because I respect him tremendously and couldn't say 'no' to him. But I continue to stick to my stand,” he states.
