Is Tamil movies hero, Madhavan of Alaipayuthey and Dumm Dumm Dumm fame, same guy from Sony TV serial 'Saaya'? Bizzare if him, what is he doing in South Indian films?

Dunno if it is him, but Tamil cinema is a strange place. Nearly 40% of heroines in this industry actually originate from north India. We even have four/five Panjabi-based female artists. I suspect they cannot make it to Hindi cinema (which dominates India) so they head to the south.

The recent success of a film called Majnu, which had Rinkkle Khanna, was termed a hit and now she has signed four forthcoming Tamil films. DAM! and she was awful in Majnu

Even Nandita Das has signed many forthcoming Tamil films after hitting big with Agazhi (a decent flick) and Mani Ratnam's Kanathil Muthamittal (Awe binding).

I will say more like 80%

madhavan is a huge hit down south and he does originate from the south only that he is brought up in the north.. he did have a rhtdm in hindi but i guess that wasnt a hit...
