I'm just getting into Bollywood movies--but am a huge film fanatic.

I've bought Kaho Naa Pyarr Hai and loved it. Great Disc too!!! Clear Picture, anamorphic and 5.1 --woo-hoo!!!

I rented Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and Tum Bin and they were ok.

Can you recommend others to buy or just rent? I only want to buy the DVD's that are in correct aspect ratio and have a decent transfer.

I don't mind renting anything you suggest.

Input on any of the following would be greatly appreicated by this Far East Asian brotha:

Jil Desh Mein Ganga Rheta...
Chandni Bar
Gupt
Raaz
Namak Halal
Dil Chahta Hai
Taal
Satya
Rangeela
Yaadein
Kaho Naa Pyaar Jai
Fiza

THANKS AGAIN

Most of these on the main site with screen shots. Recommend and avoids;

Fiza (Spark) – this DVD was done by DEI, good all round DVD and film, avoid the Video Sound version

Rangeela (DEI), good DVD, good film, excellent music

Satya (Eros/DEI) brilliant unmissable movie but the DVD video is cropped to 1.85. It does have some of best 5.1 sound to be heard from any Indian film.

Dil Chahta Hai (Spark) good film, OKish DVD - but be warned people have had problems playing this disc.

Namak Halal (DEI) excellent comedy, cropped video 1.85 but otherwise good DVD

Chandni Bar (Eros) excellent movie but an awful DVD not worth watching it on DVD cos it spoils the film

Check this

and then decide for yourself what you would like to own ( aka what DVDs satisfy your criteria )
