Actual content of Colombia Tristar releases between r1 and r2 have been consistent in the past (unlike Warner Brothers!) - region2 DVDs of Gandhi, Lawrence Of Arabia, Charlie's Angels(!) were the all the same as region1. Only difference is r2 will be PAL format and come in about 3 months later than r1 DVD.

Is it a two disc release? CT haven't annouced much but I feel the disc should be on two discs with each half of the film on each disc similar to the Lawrence Of Arabia DVD, so the bit rate won't be as affected.

Another confusion is that most retail websites mention Lagaan dvd as Dolby Digital 2 channel Stereo. Again a few sites say 5.1...am not sure if this is true but I hope so...

It is disconcerting to see so many sites with differing info. The little info CT have given they have said it’ll be ‘will be presented in English/Hindi Dolby Digital 5.1’ and ‘in anamorphic widescreen’. Only extras mentioned are; deleted scenes, weblink and filmographies. No aspect ratio info was issued, neither it was said if it’ll be a dual disc.

Amazon has pics of the Lagaan DVD cover. Not bad. I hope the aspect ratio is preserved, and I'm guessing a 2 disc set for this one....b/c the movie is long already.
