Hello,

A few months ago I rented Mission Kashmir at my local Blockbuster...I had never seen an Indian movie before, but the plot sounded interesting and timely (as far as world events go).

That was a great movie! Since then, I slowly develed into Indian movies, based on the Hollywood genres I like: war and historical epics.

I've only seen the following so far (ventured to a nearby Indian grocery store for these) and liked them both:

The Legend of Bhagat Singh
Asoka

Can anyone else suggest some good Indian war or historical epics/period pieces for a new comer like me? I'm also interested in Indian/Hindu mythology...any good movies out there? And may be where I could get them (I live in Atlanta, Georgia).

I don't speak a lick of Hindi or any other Indian language...so DVDs with subtitles are a must for me.

Any Recommendations on Movies w/ Classical Dance?

As for war films, if you're curious, watch Border and L.O.C. I didn't see the latter, but the former wasn't that good.

I have seen Lagaan sitting on the shelf at Blockbuster...but keep forgetting to pick it up! I guess that's next on my list.
