Getting a cue from BIGvcr's thread on Best Covers of 2003, I thought of starting the Best Indian DVD of 2003 topic. Let's rate DVDs based on PQ and Audio and not on Hit/ Flop/ Good/ Bad film.

One category can be for New films and other category for Old films.

What do you think??

My Vote goes to:

From New Films:
HAWAAYEIN by BEI

From Old Films:
One of the BEI releases. Don't remember off hand, which one to pick.

I haven't seen South Indian DVDs yet, so can't comment on them if they beat HAWAAYEIN.

2003: Hawaayein
2002 and prior: Lagaan, Mission Kashmir, HSSH and KNPH

Worst for NEW FILM..HATS off to EROS, , for giving us a splendid, de digitized transfer of KHAKEE..

For OLD..INNUMERABLE!! does not make sense!

My Monsoon Wedding DVD & Lagaan DVD (both region 2) have a very good quality.

The worst DVD: Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. I do not understand why they need to waste time in making an animated menu. The picture quality of the film could be waaaaaay better. :bangbang:
