A progressive DVD from Spark is a pleasant surprise.

Is US edition the same??

I wonder, what was different that this DVD turned out progressive??

Any other Spark DVD that's Progressive??

It might not be that bad - the Kabzaa DVD by Spark was decent.....

Samrat and Spark Kabzaa screen shots are at
http://www.zulm.net/cgi-bin....l=kabza

Clearly, Spark version is a lot better than Samrat.

Any idea, if Spark DVD of Kabzaa is Progressive as well?? Is Spark version avail in North America?? (IW has only the Samrat version).

Arsh, did you look at Spark screen caps or Samrat screen caps??

Spark Kabza screen caps are decent. Certainly not awful.

Spark's Kabzaa looks better than Samrat's release. But still is about average shemaroo dvds print. It's certainly not awful.

Hope spark keeps releasing films like the print for Inquilaab!

me (whoelse :;): )

Inquilaab is GOOD, but even being Prog, i think it is not on par with good BEI DVDS!

Spark's Kabzaa looks better than Samrat's release.

in other word, when it comes for KABZAA... Spark release of KABZAA in comparison to Samrat release of KABZAA.. Spark is the better one.

The thread is indeed about Sparks' inquilaab. Yes, Spark's Kabzaa is no where near the print of Spark's inquilaab.

so, did anyone here actually buy and watch this movie?

I rented it the other day. DVD picture is very good, pretty clear and sharp. the sound however is quite mumbled.

I thought people said Spark made poor DVDs. This one didnt seem so poor.

However it seems to have been edited.

I've never seen this flick before but the final scene in the conference seems to cut out everyone that is shot bar kader khans character. Was it originally made like this or have spark edited it?

A very typical AB movie in my mind. watchable only for the fact that its AB

I haven't seen the DVD, but I must say the the picture-quality — from the screen-shots — looks quite good. Also, I think "Inquilaab" is one of Amitabh Bachchan's most under-rated films. I'd give it aabout a 7-out-of-10 rating.

The film was re-edited after the film's premiere. Since Big B was running for a place in the political arena his messgae of gun ho violence didn't go down well with the strict censor board in India (and neither with a bigwig politician...need I say more?)

Some early VHS releases do have the uncut scene...but your not missing much...
