Yeah it was heavily edited at the end. I remember seeing the uncut version when it came out in early '84. I think this is as good as it's going to get. This movie is essentially a Jeetendra Madras special only that Amitabh is in the movie instead. It was probably shot after the success of Andhaa Kanoon in April of '83, which T Rama Rao also directed.

Could someone please describe exactly how this is "edited"? I believe that when I recently saw this film, it was a DVD copy; the end (SPOILER)

did have him shoot all the ministers.

So, how is the "original" different?

Well, you know hes shooting the ministers but the actual close up and effect is missing. THe music gives it away as well as it doesnt flow with the movie, its all over the place

Well, in the one I saw, the editing did not "stick out." You see everyone die, and the music is pretty consistent.

Actually the print is much better than I thought Spark was capable of. I think its time I get this DVD, if only to review the comical song Bichhoo Lad Gaya, picturised on AB and Sridevi in the swimming pool.

No Bichcoo Lad gaya is not picturiesd in swiming pool the one you mean is Nazar Dekho Adha Dekho :D

Inquilaab had to be one of Big B's worst movies...but I must have it for my Big B DVD collection. The climax in the State Legislature is worth the price of the DVD.

I agree it was boring. But Aimtabh has always give a consistant good performances. But storyline was boring
