IW version of Faraar available at IW today for only $2.99. Its got be worth that much?

Received IW's Faraar today. The print is very soft and out of focus, much much worser than Angoor. Guess I have answered my own question - its not even worth $2.99!!

Option for Alternate Ending

Unfortuntely this special feature does not give viewers the opportunity to watch the whole movie with an alternate ending. The only option is to see the alternate ending scene in isolation.

In the orginal ending, Amitabh is killed, and at his funeral, Sanjeev Kumar gives his son to AB's mother to compensate her loss. In the alternate ending, Amitabh survives the shooting and recovers in hospital, and is assured that he will not be prosecuted.

In my opinion the orginal ending makes more sense, it is more in tune with bollywood films of that time. The hero on the wrong side of the law, or whose love interest is unattainable, always died at the end. Kill him! I wonder why they decided on a happy ending?

Probably because of the bond Amitabh has with the child
