Arsh, where do you see Combing??

I thought, this is what you said that you get combing when playing Taal in Force Weave.

look at the blurr, absent limbs, and edges of the images, e.g, the guy playing tabla!! I had more worse shots, that did not go through, but it is there, not as bad as zanjeer, shots...

but a prog transfer with these kinda frames..is ?

I'll send some more supplementing shots, if u want...

Encoding problem is one thing and Combing another.

You and I differed only when you said that you get combing in Force weave which I did not get in my disc.

So, looks like it's the same disc that you and I have.

Well, i f Pundits call all those lines., along edges and on the back of both hands, JUST ENCODING prob, NOT COMBING!!!

Let it be!! How you explain, blurring, absent limbs phenomenon, seen here, in PROG mode! and 24fps!?

Another thing, rana!! can u check my NOTES on KOHRAM dvd! where alternate shot combs???

"""Panch kahaenge, no combing, then no combing""" What should we call this?

I checked my Taal DVD. It is progressive. The example on
the market shows DNR smearing/ghosting (and excessive
colors and aliasing).

Fuzziness and blobs are related to motion encoding. Fast motion requires equally high bit rate. It 'may or may not' be avail, or 'may or may' not have been utilized.

Look at DEI-EROS Maine Pyar Kiya (Progressive DVD) Kabootar song. When Pigeons fly (of course, very fast wings flapping), look at still frame. You see white blobs, not Pigeons.
A similar scene (Pigeons flying) is in the movie 'O'. I wonder how does this scene compare in the Hollywood DVD??

Anyone has 'O' DVD??

The Taal problem is not compression, it's DNR.
I have 'O' in HD and it looks just fine.

Does it mean that even with the same bit rate, Pigeon's fast flapping wings will be distinguishable if no DVNR was applied??

Fast flapping wings have so much motion blur on the film
master that there are no clear features. Reducing the bit
rate will simply add blocking artifacts and noise. Using
DNR will further smear the picture.

Best dvd of ZANJEER (1973)?
Does anyone know a good full-framed version of Zanjeer?
(Not the cropped version from DEI which cuts off heads)
Is the EROS/ B4U full frame?
Please let me know.

Why did they crop the picture on this DVD? The cropping often looks pretty bad.
