2. Raj Kapoor's Chhalia (BABA) :ffs:

3. Criterion Collection DVD of Fellini's 8 1/2 (paid $54 Canadian dollars plus taxes)

4. Gulzar's Ijaazat (paid $4.99 for it)

5. I'm guessing Mission Kashmir (Columbia TriStar)

6. T2: Judgment Day The Ultimate Edition DVD, Russian Ark, Moulin Rouge, Citizen Kane, & Dil Se(DEI).

7. Kaante(T-series), Raja Hindustani(DEI/EROS), & Sholay(DEI/EROS), & Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (Yashraj Films)

1.How many DVDs do you currently own?
This is embarrassing, but I lost count after a while. Probably just under 400, a mix of mostly Hollywood, Bollywood plus some other foreign film titles.

2.What was the last DVD you bought?
RUSSIAN ARK.

3.What has been the most expensive DVD you have ever purchased?
For a single title, probably MOHABBATEIN for $50 (what the hell was I thinking?). For a box set, SIX FEET UNDER or THE GODFATHER trilogy (around $100 each). All figures Canadian.

4.What has been the least expensive DVD you have ever purchased?
Probably one of those cheap two-in-one Indian DVDs w/ AMERICAN DESI and THE GURU (both sucked).

5.What (in your opinion) has been the last true GREAT Indian DVD?
The last one? Probably MISSION KASHMIR or MOSOON WEDDING. They were movies I watched all the way through without cringing at the transfers.

6.What (in your opinion) has been the BEST DVD experience so far?
Uh... overall, I would say LOTR: FOTR the Extended Edition. I had all my friends over and we were in awe.

7.What (in your opinion) has been the worst DVD experience ever?
Once I rented BHAWANDAR (the one with Nandita Das), and I had to turn it off after the first five minutes. I couldn't see what was happening, that's how bad the transfer was.

8. What film do you want to see on DVD that hasn't been seen on one yet?
Tough one... I'll skip the obvious choices like STAR WARS and SCHINDLER'S LIST and say ALL of Shyam Benegal's films that haven't already been released. The guy's a goddamn genius.
