I gave up on it! No news from the Kaante front - which sometimes means a decent DVD in the long run. But everyone is selling the T-Series one - maybe that was the one and only official release ???

oh i totally forgot all about it...... didnt realise that there is no official dvd yet..... probably better off keeping the pirate....

The Original DVD for USA and UK will be out once the producers sort out there differences....there are numerous claims to the rights of this film....

I saw a Media Dimensions copy in the used bin yesterday. It probably has quality about as good (or about as bad) as Road.

But that's a pirate... and the quality is absolutely horrendous (like really horrendous, not just Eros horrendous).

Stay as far away from the T-Series version as you possibly can. It is probably the wrost DVD ever made, as far as a DVD of a new film is concerned. I am sure as bad as the pirated DVD might be, it is surely better than the crap put out by T-Series.

Media Partners(the actual right holders) is bankrupt - it would thus be rather hard to determine who really should get the rights...

They'll probably have to complete Chapter 11 and then start auctioning off assests - which could mean months?

Last I heard was that Eros WAS going to release it. Now this info is O L D....a few months back. I e-mailed Eros and they said they will have it out within a month. Its been about 3 months since then. So, either they were crapping OR they really are going to do it. If they do it, it will be crap. If they don't then were back to square one,.....if media partners has the rights and they are bankrupt maybe its time they SOLD the rights. I don't know if there is anyway to find out IF they have the rights since I thought the rights were with T-Series to start with but are they even in the DVD business (like Tips?)

Its not worth it to bother about Kaante. Just rent Reservoir Dogs or City on Fire :)
