Looks like EROS are fighting for the world-wide rights of Mani Ratnam next Hindi film. The bidding war has started at 6.5 Cores...anyone else wanna bid....

Looks like another Dil Se... in the making...

Meanwhile the high budget film "Boyz" has has its teaser trailer showing during the permiere of AVM's new film. Judging from the trailer boyz looks set to be a major winner, with top quality production values that is akin to Korean high tech cinema...this will have an effect on Bollywood as well....but the story looks bleek....a group of (rather ugly) teenage boys involved in a pop group who are popular with the ladies. The North Indian heroine, also in the pop group, does look nice...

Im sure Shankar could have spent more time in screen testing...when casting Boyz...

At least Dil Se got an Eros-DEI disc. Whoever gets the Hindi rights, Hindi viewers will be shafted. The Ayngaran disc will probably be decent. But this is all premature, as the film hasn't even started shooting yet AFAIK.

The Boys songs are very good, but I'm not keeping my hopes up for the film. This is Shankar we're talking about, after all. I hope he doesn't go crazy with the bad CGI and excessive speed ramping. At the very least, I expect good picturization of the songs.

And CG snakes that tout government jobs. There'll also be a scene where the boy band goes to the Great Wall of China, the Egyptian pyramids, and Las Vegas.

:D I really hated that pottery dancers and the CG snakes song in 'Mudhalvan'.
