That link is no longer working.
Does anyone know of the complete opening sequence with freeze frame montage of lead actors?

For Jaanu Meri Jaan song there is no nicking... TRUNCATED

1. Do these compare Amazon Prime Video 166 minutes version with Rana's VHS 204 minutes, and also with a third version ie Director's Cut?

2. You mention "theatrical cut (longer edit)" and "Directors cut (shorter edit)". Are there at least 4 variants?
A. Theatrical cut regular edit
B. Theatrical cut longer edit
C. Director's cut regular edit
D. Director's cut shorter edit
E. And everything in between?

Or did I misunderstand?

Shaan Director's Cut & Theatrical Cut - Need Verification....

Guys can you verify the following cuts between the Director's Cut (DC) and the Theatrical Cut (TC)...

1) Shorter Start Credits in the TC. In the DC version you see a clip montage of all the main actors in the film.
2) In the TC Intro of Big B and Shashi Kapoor begins when Big B enters the Hotel...while in the DC the intro begins with Big B and Shashi Kapoor sitting in the car, stalking out the Hotel
...
13) During the song "Jaanu Meri Jaan" the scene when Big B and Shashi Kapoor are nicking the bike is edited out in the TC.
...
Running time of DC = 208.36 Mins (Negative Timecodes from BBFC).
Running time of TC = 181.59 Mins (Negative Timecodes from BBFC).

Therefore around 26 mins is missing in TC…but I know there are more scene that was compleatly edited out...does anyone know what they were, and where they saw it???

Select quote above.

Has anyone actually seen the 182 minutes theatrical cut?
BBFC no longer mentions it.

If (2) is correct, then could the 166 min Amazon Prime and Ultra Movie Parlour YouTube SHAAN be a HYBRID EDIT?

If (13) is correct and given it's not in the 204 min VHS of Rana, could it be in an alternative edit, maybe the 209 minute version?

Here's the Mazhar Khan Naam Abdul Hai Mera full song.
In stereo! How come?
And while the Ultra released song here is full, it's truncated in the Ultra online SHAAN on youtube.

Shaan - movie - listed at BBFC http://www.bbfc.co.uk/AFF024640/ is 208 minutes long! Is this the same Shaan?
The Video is listed as 181 minutes long at http://www.bbfc.co.uk/AVF024640/

The new PEN DVD (viewtopic.php?f=1&t=11472) is 169 min 42 secs long.

IMDB thread http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0081491/boa ... 3?d=115193

The 181min BBFC link no longer works.

The beginning of the song and the end have the same scene, Abdul Mazhar Khan taking a helping hand from the pillion rider on a mobike. Same actors. Same bike. Same scene. Repeated.

However in Rana's 204 min VHS, the ending has a different scene.

WAITING FOR ABDUL TO COME:

Image

1. This is not in Rana's 204min VHS.
3. This is not in the 166min Ultra/ Amazon Version either.
3. So where are these screenshots (including freeze frame of lead actors in the beginning) taken from?

These would all be in the 209 min version, right?
Ultimate version?

After quest for full 255 min original Mera Naam Joker (30-75 min runtime discrepancies in various DVDs) , looks like Shaan too needs justice.
Mera Naam Joker finally (10-15 Yrs of effots/ complaining/ research) was made available in full. Lets hope, Shaan too becomes available in its original cut.
Great effort in researching this topic newDEEP.

About various cuts:
One time a TV Serial's producer was trying to sell his product to a TV company. He was told that the content should be this long. He said, No Problem. Tell us how long the content should be, we will edit it accordingly. If you want a shorter version, No problem, if you want a longer version, even for that we have extra footage and tricks to extend the runtime.

On top of this all, speed shifts add another monkey wrench in the process.
