I wanted to watch this movie so bad, its coming on DVD now. Whats your opinion on this movie?

Loved the movie. If the Black-East Indian romance were set in Trinidad or Guyana, WHOA! There would be a few problems!

...And thank god a movie potraying wot us East Indians descendant from indentured immigrants are living like. It really helped East Indians get the name out!

I liked the movie, though the plot line could have been pared down. Roshan Seth's trying to go back to Africa should have had less emphasis. The movie ends in Africa with Seth's story when it should have ended with story of the main couple IMO.

I also recommend Nowhere in Africa, about a German Jewish family escaping to Kenya. It is about family in new surroundings and with a daughter who is very much at home in that country.
