I posted a warning about all Samrat releases as my local retailer warned me as well about them. Potentially alot of them have a freezing/skipped problem. Rent it first if you can and then buy it. I posted about this Hum as well in that thread, search and you will find.....

Urbanlegend, when I was at Saahib Video, they were playing Media Digital Hum (Don't know if this was a co-op bet Media Digital and Samraat).
Not being a regular customer of Saahib Video, I could check this version only partially. PQ seemed good and it had familiar charactrestics of other Media Digital DVDs (i.e. pic shakes violently in pause mode). I infer from this that this may very well be a Progressive (24 fps film mode) DVD. If yes, this version could be the version of choice. Urbanlegend, may be you could investigate it further.

Pic shaking, in pause mode for a film mode DVD, is a very minor and easily fixable problem for Progressive DVD players.

May be he was referring to pic shaking in pause mode. This can easily be taken care of.

What abt t series and apollo versions, and a possible, asian version? :hmm:

Urbanlegend can check this, whether Media Digital version also has Samrat markings as well. I think, it's the same disc with both markings.

Rana just checked something of my own.....

I had Thanedaar before which was by Media Digital in full screen and sold it because Samrat released it as well. I was hoping it was in widescreen but to my surprise when I opened the disc I saw Media Digital written on the disc and looked like the exact same disc that I previously sold :O only difference was different menus and subtitles. I posted the screen grabs of Thanedaar before and it should be int he Zulm Screenshots links sticky. Take a look because I have a sneaky feeling this Samrat DVD is a copy of the original Media Digital disc previously released now only redone with new packaging.

Hope that helps somewhat....

samrat dvds are now sold for 12.99 plus shipping at indiaweekly.com.you can have the same titles for 9.99 or 6.99 at erosentertainment.com with free shipping if you buy 5 or more..

$12.99, $9.99 or $6.99 they are not worth it all ... if they were by Shemaroo at least than I would have thought about it. Those crap Samrat DVDs are even worth $2.99, I learned my lesson twice! Once with Lamhe (full antakshari and scenes cut) and second with Thanedaar (read above post).
