Since the only new review on Zulm is of 'Yateem' I thought, why not all of us start doing our duties and review each DVD we buy and thus share with one another our buying experiences? Here are mine :

1. 'Fire/Chandni Bar/Ek Chhotisi Love Story' 3 in 1 DVD (Pirate) : Stunning transfer on ECSLS and CB, but horrible pixelation on 'Fire'. Strange because 'Fire' is the superior transfer if you watch the original DVDs. Considering that all three are excellent movies, I say this was a great deal for US $9!!

2. 'Dhai Akshar Prem Ke' (DEI) : Horrible movie but excellent transfer. So good that I've had to give it away and get a new copy for myself from Neha!

All the releases these days are uniformly awful, so there's no point to reviewing them. Even the screenshots for BEI's Yateem and Khatta Meetha, were not that impressive.

Eros's Chandni Bar was pretty bad, particularly in darkly lit scenes.

Here's my review of Sky's Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron, which was the last Indian DVD I rented:

Very soft, too much noise reduction, colors seemed off, horrible transfer. Makes for a rather nice coaster after it rots.
