Oh god help us! He's made some terrible films lately and now he's planning a bollywood sing-a-long biopic of Norah Jones - the estranged 'other' daughter of Ravi Shankar. I think they will both be insulted by this.

Dev Anand plans film on Norah, Dad
NEW YORK: The dramatic life story of Grammy award winning singer Norah Jones and her father and sitar maestro, Pandit Ravi Shankar, is the latest to capture actor and director Dev Anands attention.
"I have been inspired by the story of Norah and Ravi Shankar to make an English movie. Imagine a great musician and his once-estranged singer- daughter who goes on to set the Western music world on fire. Its a terrific story," said Anand.
"This picture is going to be made with Hollywood sensitivity. I am going to collaborate with a Hollywood writer. I am looking for a potential cast in the US," Anand, who has been in New York for the past two months, said.
Asked about the lack of response to his latest production Love at Times Square, he said: "I was let down by poor distribution and publicity though a newspaper like the New York Times praised the film in its own way."
Anand said he was ready with the basic script of the film. "I was at the Washington DC airport when an Indian journalist asked me if I had heard about Shankars daughter sweeping the Grammys. That set me thinking. An Indian musician, an American lover and a singer-daughter, some story!"
Norah is the daughter of Shankar and his former American companion Sue. She grew up in Texas. Her debut album Come Away with Me won eight Grammys at the 45th annual awards.
Her illustrious father was reported as saying he was "proud" of his daughters achievement, but did not quite identify with her music.
