Hi all :
I've been looking high and low for a Tamil DVD worth investing in. Of course it would have to be Ayngaran, but their selection of films recently are nothing I would be interested in. However, I've seen a few of their recent titles and these are definitely must-have DVDs :
1. Run (Madhavan) - Amazing sound and presentation, the picture is very sharp.
2. Aanandam - I doubt non-Tamil speakers would like this one, but its a movie that has great repeat value, plus the sound is just amazing.
3. Kadalan (Prabhudeva, Nagma) - This 1994 film is extremely watchable yet again with another flawless transfer from Ayngaran.
Add 'Kandukondain Kandukondain', and 'Kannathil Mutthamittal' to that list and you have five real Tamil DVD winners that are worth a home in your collection.
There are also some great Ayngaran DVDs that I haven't mentioned because even though they have incredible prints to rival the best of DEI, they don't have much repeat value. These include 'Paarthale Paravasam' and 'Jeans'.
