i think lagaan will win most of the awards.... k3g might win kajol a best actress which she does deserve.... but appart from that i dont see it winning anything else maybe a best supporting for amitabh or hrithik...
anyway no surprises in the nominations quite expected... i am just looking fwd to the usual starry show.... i dont care abt the awards much.....

Its a shame that Kamal Hassan (Abhay) or Amitabh Bachchan (Aks) didn't get nominated for their negaive roles which I thought was better then all the ones actually nominated!

Filmfare Awards maintain their impeccible record of awarding the crap from Bollywood, while ignoring some of the best work. Where is 'Monsoon Wedding' in this list of nominations. Why is there no nomination for Annu Malik for Asoka in the best music category? How can they even list Gadar in this list, which had at best one decent song. Have they not heard 'Roshan Se' from Asoka, debatedly the best song of the year? No nomination for Javed Akhtar's lyrics in Dil Chahta Hai, while K3G gets 2 nominations for best lyrics. Give me a break. Why is 'Saif Ali Khan' not nominated in the Best Supporting Actor category? He in my opinion is the most deserving for that award. As for nominating him in the Best Comic Role category is an insult. Actually the categories of 'Best Performance in a villainous role & comic role' are an insult to the art of acting. There is no reason why they should not be covered by the 'Best Actor & Best Supporting Actor' categories. This years Filmfare Awards are just another sellout, last yr it was the undeserving Mohabattein this yr it is K3G. Quite honestly even the Zee Cine Awards are more respectful and meaningfull now, based on this years nominations at least.

Now!!if YR or KJ has a afilm he has to be nominated in each and every section once or twice,look out for supporting actor, both hrithik and AB are sitting there as we did not have any other good performer around for that role ?? ??? how abt the guy from Chandani baar!!etc!! i think overdone!!Saif from DCH!!Akshay is there fine!!
But we see Jackie for his drunken performance in YAADEIN as nomination!!! I think again, AB should have been nominated for Ek Rishta also!!

Best Supporting Actress!! I think Jaya Bachan for K3g is pure POLITICS!!favourtism!! I was 110% for her with my heart last year for Fiza and was happy that she one!!
But come on Jaya and Kariena for K3g, while omoitting @ good actresses from Zubaida MOM and Rose aunty for their brilliant performances!!!

Best Actresses!!I would like to see Juhi Chawla for her brilliant performance in One Two Ka Four and URMILA in PTKK!!(she is no where!!!VERY VERY SAD AFFAIR!!)
No!!we see Kariena for Asoka..Yuk!! and Kajol had to be included any way!!Happy to see Karisma for Zubaida and Amisha for GADAR(genuine!!)

Best Actor!!AB gets here for Aks while not getting in negative ones!!leaving it for manoj!!

Best Supporting Actress!!Madhuri dixit for Lajja( tough competition from Rekha for both Zubaida and Lajja).and two more actresses not nominated for Zubaida!

Best Supporting actor:AB for K3g or Ek Rishta.tough here too!!

Critic Best actress Tabu for Chandni baar vs Karisma for Zubaida.

Best Music!!UNDOUBTEDLY...for Rehman for his brilliant scire in LAGAAN or Zubaida(not nominaated..we see rather utam singh for GADAR!!)

A great album from 2001 was Tum Bin, with really good songs. Alas! It was only a small production.

Jackie Shroff (Yaadein), I thought he was the main actor of the film. So how does he get nominated, do they think Hrithik Roshan was the main lead, WTF whats wrong with these people?????

pyaar tune kya kiya, asoka, and tum bin should have been nominated for music.

I think his performance/character fits better in best actor catagory which it has already, remember, he was the dominant throughout the film, it was Manoj Bajpai who had negative shades throughout.

very true, but that's why we have the National Awards which do reward excellence in Indian Cinema. Within the last decade, Filmfare has become an awards ceremony awarding the most popular awards.

Aamir Khan will never again will best actor again from filmfare, and why should he? he doesn't care much of filmfare and there awards, and filmfare acknowledges this, and they would never award him, even though if he was the best. (ie. he was never awarded best actor for sarfarosh in 1999, sanjay dutt for vaastav won that year)

You must be kidding me. Have you seen some of the films and actors that won National Awards over the last few years? The National Awards have become a joke too, as they too pander to the 'popular' now. Although I must admit they are still a lot better than the shamefull Filmfare Awards. By the way it is common knowledge that Filmfare Awards can be bought, all you need is the right contacts and the right amount of money.

If the only reason the Best Actor Award is not given to Aamir Khan, is that he does not care for them, then the Filmfare Awards are a bigger joke then I thought. The Award is for recognition of one's work in cinema, and not for what the individual thinks of the Filmfare Awards.
