I'm a huge AB fan. I wanted to see Besharam (possibly buy it) but here is what it says on the YRF released DVD of Be-sharm:

Reproduced from vintage source for the sake of nostalgic appeal, hence possibly compromising on quality.

RIGHT. Instead of beating around the bush and making excuses why don't they actually invest the time and money to come up with a decent DVD from the BEST source and hire someone decent to author their DVDs. The time spent in coming up with phrases like "nostalgic apppeal" so they can hide behind them when the gaalis start coming their way is ridiculous. Its like me making excuses for not doing well BEFORE not doing well. Nostalgic appeal my ass, they can stick that DVD where the sun don't shine!!!! :ffs:

They have that written on various DVDs and I happen to have 2 of them. One from YRF (Jagir) and one from ERO$ (Qurbani) and both were not bad. Qurbani is reviewed by Ali (Zulm.net) who also says its not that bad but could have been better. I will try and gets shots of Jagir YRF tonight when I get home if ya want 'em.

Qurbani Review

In any case, there would only be nostalgic appeal in watching the movie as it looked at the time it was released - in other words, new unscratched prints. Scratched, overused prints hardly have nostalgic appeal!
