I recently bought Silsila & Mohabbatein DVDs. The printing on the cover does not look sharp.
Following are the symptoms of these two DVDs because of which I have feeling of pirated DVDs.

Silsila: The subtitles cannot be turned off.

Mohabbatein: When I play the movie, the picture gets stretched vertically. I have to change the picture mode TV (turn on 16:9 mode) to get regular picture. I don't think, any other yashraj DVDs (like DDLJ, K3G, DTPH etc.) have this kind of problem with my DVD player & TV.

Are they pirated DVDs?

yes, at least the silsila dvd is pirated for sure.

i have the same vertical stretch problem with my mohabbatein dvd but i know i have a pirate. i figure the people who made the pirate screwed this up and there was no vertical stretch problem on the original. probably someone who has an original mohabbatein dvd can help.

All anamorphic hollywood dvds for 90 rupees are vertically stretched to fill std tv!

BTW, I bought them from "Mini-India" of USA (i.e. New Jersey) and not India (Rs. 90).
Any other AB fans having these DVDs: Please reply.
