The Apu Trilogy DVDs are coming to R2 from Artificial Eye on 12/17, according to this list. I should start saving the pennies for a region-free player now.

Someone's even made a plug for the Lagaan review on zulm in this thread :)

Is 45 pounds expensive? That comes out to 15 pounds per disc. I know that one pound is worth a little more than one US dollar. I sure hope this set is R0 NTSC, because I would love to get it.

The Apu Trilogy has nothing to do with the Simpsons :rolleyes: - they are probably some of the best films ever to come of out of India, directed by Satyajit Ray. The films that make up the trilogy are Pather Panchali, Aparajito and The World of Apu (Apur Sansar).

This is a must-have DVD set. Any idea what kinds of extras are included. Does anyone have any experience with DVDs released by this company Artificial Eye?

Also, is there any place on the net that sells it for less than the 45 pound price tag? Bensons price is good only for UK orders.

BARGAIN ALERT!

£17.99 for the Trilogy here;

http://www.mobileshop.com/dvd/showdvd.php?page=75373

...probably a misprice, considering all other stores have it for around £40 :kungfu:

Same here - I've e-mailed them asking them to fix the problem, here's hoping they don't realise the price error!!

Sorry I didn’t order it at the time so dint know about this problem - I have a feeling when it does go into the cart it be around the £40 mark.

Keep checking http://www.dvdpricecheck.co.uk/ to see where else it appears, I’m sure one of the other retailers will do a better deal nearer to the release.
