I bought attack of the clones some 6 months back, it was region 0, pirate version i think. The picture printed on the disc was kinda distorted. I got it for a tenner. The picture quality was mindblowing, it had basic 5.1 soundtrack and the movie thats all, but this pirate was better than the original probably. I wish those malaysians get hold of more region 0 pirates like this.

At best this pirate is a direct digital copy of the original. It can not be better.
And pirates are criminals that belong behind bars. Their
product belongs destroyed. They undermine the market for
good quality product. :ffs:

I can understand getting pirates of indian DVDs cuz the originals are usually crap but i don't see any justification for buying pirates of american movies which usually have awesome dvds.

Star Wars 2: AOTC is agruably one of best dvds ever made!!! The picture and sound on this DVD are breathtaking!!!

Moreover, Hollywood DVDs are reasonably priced. A typical price for a fully loaded DVD is:

(In Canadian Dollars)

$ 23 at the time of release
$ 29 to $ 33 on the shelf
$ 15 every now and then special sale
$18 for previously previewed from rental stores.

At these prices who even wants to copy it on VHS or SVHS, unless you want a super crap copy fitting 3 or 4 movies in one tape.

I don't know how it is in the UK, but in America DVD prices are pretty good, and as Rana said, used DVD prices are great too. I recently picked up a used copy of "Monsters Inc" for about $11 US at Blockbuster. They were having a 30% off sale, and the sticker price was $14.99.

Are you saying the pirate version of starwars:atoc is better than the ORGINAL DIGITAL TO DIGITAL transfer with a kickass Dolby EX 5.1 track? :oo: How can that be?
