Dum is a remake of a south film called DHILL made about 3 yrs. ago and starred the Aamir Khan of South, VIKRAM. I saw that movie and if they have done DUM the same way, it should be better than DHILL. Since we have Atul Kulkarni playing the bad cop whereas the Dhill had Ashish Vidhyarthi, he was good but I think Atul Kulkarni will be better.
Also, we will see Mukesh Rishi as playing the good cop which is a surprise and he has a good role too. In the Tamil version, they had the cook from CHACHI 420, I do not know his name but a very famous actor from the south. Also, seeing the past three performances of Viveck Oberoi I think he will be able to play the lead actor's part very well.
There is also Sushant Singh playing his friend and I think he is one of emerging actors that has untapped potential in him.
If you guys want to see another great movie of Vikram, than watch KASI. It is very emotional story of a blind man and the way he has acted was award worthy ( which he got ) but missed the National Award to Mohanlal. Anyways, I think DUM will be a good movie since it is also directed by E. Niwas and how can you go wrong. This will be a surprise hit since not many are expecting it to go hit but just average. Mark my words, till then later.

arsh bahi u r right... atul kulkarni is a better actor..... the cook in chachi 420 was named Nasser quite a well known character actor down south...
i look fwd to this film the music is very nice too..
that will be 2 tamil remakes in a row for the oberoi boy...
