here are some of the worst dvd's u can buy , instead of a big movies like these , its a shame:

SHAAN ( DEI ) more than 10 minutes cut
SHAAN ( EROS) even worse picture quality , more cuts
NAMKEEN ( WEG ) the half of the movie is cut ( i don't know where it is )
TAAL ( EROS) special edition :ffs:
THE BURNING TRAIN ( YRF) very bad picture and more than 45 mintues gone :angry:
DACAIT (EROS) VERY VERY bad picture quality and 10 minutes cut
ARJUN (EROS) VERY VERY VERY bad picture quality
ZOR (EROS) BAD SOUND
TEZAAB (VIDEO SOUND ) worst picture

and its ur choice

You are right Arsh. Zor didn't appear in Anil's list of DEI & DEI-EROS list. Perhaps DEI-EROS version never came out. But, I have seen ZOR advertised as coming attraction in some DEI-EROS DVDs.

if u want to see what was cut in SHAAN rent a vhs copy of SHAAN
and then u will discover the cuts

they cut half of the tilte
they cut last of the mazhar khan song
there is a scene between shashi kapoor & bindiya before the song janoo meri jaan
the climax theres too many scenes cut

and about TAAL there's only one version i saw from eros
as for ZOR there's only eros copy

There's a few different version of Shaan that has been cut over the years by different people. Versions usually shown on TV are cut (mainly shortened songs like the Mazhar Khan song). There was also a so-called director's cut of Shaan with scenes put back in that wasn't in the original cinema version. Some scenes that were put back in spoilt the narrative and thriller aspect of the movie, which could have done with leaving it cut. Sometimes the cut versions are better. But when cuts are made to get lower censor ratings and other stupid things that's when it becomes annoying (these cuts happens a lot with Indian films released in the UK by Eros).

Indian DVD muppets get whatever source that will bring money in, cut or otherwise.

DVDs covers clearly state, "NOT FOR SALE IN INDIA".

Then why do they release their movies suited to Indian Censors??

1) I think I did mention in another thread, there is a Super Digital Version of TEZAAB.

2) I still have my VHS copy of SHAAN. Will compare and let you know of the difference between my copies. Ali has already told us of the differences.

just got these 2 dvd's

Ajnabee (eros) worse than the standard eros dvd's. most of the picture is dark, colour is also very dull. had to manually keep adjusting the brightness & colour a few times during the movie.

Sangharsh (WEG) ok the movie has quiet a few scenes in the dark or i should say in closed places with less light. but WEG seems to have taken this too seriously & made the entire movie dark. colour is ok but what's with the dark picture?
