Farhan and poetry
Farhan Akhtar and penning down poetry and lyrics! Now this shouldn't come as a surprise coz its in the family. Director Gurinder Chadda has contracted Farhan Akhtar to pen down the lyrics of her forthcoming film that is to star none other than Aishwarya Rai. Chadda it seems was so impressed by Dil Chahta Hai that she wanted him to be a part of her future venture somehow or the other. And thus the idea to include Farhan to pen down the lyrics of her film. And Farhan, egged on by father Javed Akhtar, has already begun his tryst with writing songs. Now, now we just can't wait for this one!

Apparently the English lyrics of the LAGAAN song 'O re chori' were penned by Farhan and sister Zoya on the sets of LAGAAN when he was there to discuss DIL CHAHTA HAI....and we do know those lyrics are really nice.....a sample from the song goes thus :

The roses pout their
scarlet mouths, Like offering a Kiss.....

very very neat.....

You've grown into a fine young tree
the pride of the neighbourhood
standing tall, flashing green
home to all your insect friends

Suddenly one day a piercing pain

you look down

it is the man who fathered you, nurtured you,

One final blow
you lie still. Dead.
The green fades
the insects leave

they get a better view of the sea now
