in my opinion , i think the best dvd for an indian movie still not come , u cant compare 3 rd class dvd from US movies to any hindi dvd , but from which i saw i considered these are the best dvds :

KAHO NA PYAAR HAI ( DEI ) 2 DISC
LAGAAN ( COLUMBIA ) but there's a weak point ( no extra's )
ASOKA
DILWALE DULHANIA LE JAYENGE ( YRJ )
MISSION KASHMIR ( columbia ) no extra's
AKS ( EROS ) 2 DISC
MOHABBATEIN (YRJ ) 2 DISC
SATYA ( DEI )
ZIDDI (DEI )
CHINA GATE ( DEI )

Hi there,
Aks 2 disc and Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge are totally sh*t and you are indeed mistaken if you think they count as good indian dvds.
In no particular order,

KNPH 2 disc
Hum Saath Saath Hai 2 disc DEI
Fiza by Spark/Dei
Ek Rishtaa by DEI
Jung by DEI
Baaghi by DEI
Dil Se by Eros/DEI
Andaz Apna Apna by Eros
Tumko Na Bhool Payenge by DEI
Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham by YRF (This is the only good dvd by YRF. Mohabbatein is Passable but only just)
Khuda Gawah by Eros
Sarfarosh by DEI
Baazi by DEI
Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam 2 disc by DEI
Asoka by Metrodome
Lagaan by CT
Mission Kashmir by CT

Some older ones I reccommend(All AB Ones):
Don by DEI
Shaan by Eros/Dei
Amar Akbar Anthony by DEI
Do Aur Do Paanch by DEI
Kasme Vaade by DEI
Namak Halal by DEI

As you can see Most of, if not all the good stuff is by DEI so its best to buy DEI. This can be a problem as they have gone into bankrupty and now cease to exist.
