just received my copy of DVPV. i dont know if its just my copy or if this has happened to anyone else but my dvd is refusingto play. I couldn't get the movie to play from the start, it skipped scenes & refused to play the first two songs. it just freezes when the song is about to start and it stays this way until i turn my dvd off & on again.

anyway tried to use song selection & basically the same thing has happened. out of all the songs it only played one song. the same goes when i try to select a scene from the chapter menu, the scene starts but keeps freezing. i tried to change every possible setting on my dvd player but made no difference.

funny how we were discussing how this normally happens when a dvd is played several times. mine happens to be a brand new dvd which i got just 1 hour ago! i really dont know who to point the finger at for this one. after spending over 50 bucks this i would say was a waste of money. sending it back would only put me in more loss as i am not willing to pay a futher 20 bucks for postage.

anyway for people planning to buy the dvd you might want to think twice before you do & for people who own this dvd, did you guys have any problems at all?

I rented this disc and I also encountered some problems. The disc kept on freezing momentarily up until chapter 5, i think. From there on it played smoothly. Main menu also froze up certain times.

atleast you guys got to watch something. out of the 14 songs, i finally got to see 3 & some bits of the movie in between. the funny thing i just realised is that the trailors play fine when the dvd starts up but when i try to see them from the menu it just freezes & doesn't play.

anyway i'm sending my copy back to IW & hopefully they will replace it for me. i hope they dont charge me anything futher, now when i send it back in all i would have paid nearly $70 ( aus) :ffs:

just got word from IW that apparently Spark have admitted to have released faulty dvd's of DVPV fist time round & since then the problem has been fixed. a new batch of the dvd is now available.

IW is sending me a new copy of the dvd & even offered to refund my postal charges back to me. guys dont you think this is great service? IW rocks!!
