i'll start it off with a few of my favs. hopefully i can be a dance guru at the end of this post.

here are some that immediately come to mind, in no particular order:

1. madhuri in "chak doom doom" - dtph
2. madhuri and ash in "dola re dola" - devdas
3. madhuri in almost all the hahk songs.

I reckon all the songs from Dil Se..that required dance steps were performed really well...especially satrangi re and chaiyya chaiyya..

also ..Hrithiks dance steps to "Rind Posh Maal" from Mission Kashmir was pretty good..

Hmm...I am not up to it with the latest Bollywood, so here are my choices:


Meena Kumari - Chalte Chalte (Pakeezah), Teere Nazar (Pakeezah)

Hema Malini - Mere Payalia (Jugnu)

Madhubala - Mohe Panghat Pe (Mughal-E-Azam). I love this dance sequence. So sensual and beautifully done. And the lyrics!!!!

Rekha - Dil Cheez Kya Hai (Umrao Jaan)

Helen (don't know the name of the other dancer) - Na Na Na Ray Na Na (Taj Mahal)

Dimple Kapadia - Jhoot Bole Kuva Karte (Bobby)

Madhuri - Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, she was good in all the songs!

Ashwaryia - Nemboora Nemboora ( Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam)
